After a week off, "The Vampire Diaries" is back tonight with a brand-new episoded titled "Plan B." If you follow executive producer Julie Plec on Twitter, you've probably already heard that tonight's episode is going to be pretty epic. (She guaranteed that there would be "at least one OMFGTVD moment"!) But if that wasn't endorsement enough, we chatted with stars Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev at last weekend's Spike Scream Awards, and they used plenty of intriguing adjectives to describe "Plan B."

"[The episode is] crazy in the sense that it is a really fast-paced episode," Nina said. "It just keeps going; you keep getting shocked."

Being an immortal vampire, like brothers Stefan and Damon Salvatore, certainly has its perks, including living through the entire contents of our 10th grade history book. Having been turned in 1864, the duo has witnessed prohibition, a few World Wars (sad), even the first lunar landing. But what were they doing while history was being made? Ian Somerhalder has a few ideas (and they're pretty swinging).

When we caught up with the "Vampire Diaries" at the 2010 Spike Scream Awards, we couldn't help but ask what his character Damon would have been up to in the 1950s. The ever-playful Ian speculated that Damon would have been rubbing elbows with some seriously famous friends.

"[He was] probably hanging out with Cary Grant, waiting for Mick Jagger to get old enough to hang out with in the '70s," Ian said with a mischievous grin. And, apparently, Damon has just as good of taste in ladies as he does in buds. "I have to think that Damon had to have slept with Marilyn Monroe and Kate Hepburn," he added. Eat your heart out, Katherine!

The 2010 Spike Scream Awards are certainly one of the most fun awards shows on television—where else are genre nerds celebrated with such abandon? So it was unsurprising that instead of "Breaking Dawn" or "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," fans voted for "Green Lantern" as their most anticipated film ("It's a hell of a lot more gratifying than winning the 'Who Gives A F--k' award," Ryan Reynolds joked).

In that spirit, some of the surprise letdowns of the show were the uninspired acceptance speeches for the two "Twilight Saga" wins, first for Kristen Stewart as Best Fantasy Actress and then for "Eclipse" as Best Fantasy Film, and then with the much-hyped "Deathly Hallows: Part 1" exclusive clip, which really didn't give us much new footage. But there were plenty of surprise pick-me-ups in the show, like the "True Blood" sweep, a Sigourney Weaver appreciation and Rainn Wilson making fun of "Life As We Know It." If you missed the show last night, here's a recap of some of our favorite moments.

While most "Vampire Diaries" fans were spell-bound during the closing moments of Oct. 7's episode thanks to that out-of-nowhere twist-ending (Katherine and Mason! Scandalous!), I was distracted by one nagging thought: Nina Dobrev has madeout with, like, almost every guy on this show! Let's breakdown the stats: Whether as Elena or Katherine, the lucky actress has locked lips with Paul Wesley, Ian Somerhalder and Taylor Kinney. I'm having a hard time recalling whether we've ever seen her suck face with Zach Roerig (flashbacks?), but suffice it to say, that's a pretty decent chunk of the male population in Mystic Falls. And we're not the only ones to have noticed! Nina, herself, pointed out her kiss quotient when we caught up with her this weekend at the 2010 Spike Scream Awards.

"Literally, I've made my rounds," she said with a smile. "Between Katherine and Elena, I've madeout with almost every boy on the show. Other than my brother, thankfully." (Though we bet Steven R. McQueen is no slouch in the smooch department.)

We have to admit, we were pretty eager to see what Kristen Stewart would pull out for the "Welcome to the Rileys" red carpet in New York last night. After all, the girl earned our fashion stamp of approval at the Spike Scream Awards this past weekend when she arrived in a GUiSHEM Spring 2011 one-shoulder dress, and we had high hopes that she'd win us over yet again.

The actress hit the premiere aiming for old Hollywood glam, in another one-shoulder (hey, if it ain't broke don't fix it, right?), black and beige dress by Valentino. Was it a fashion win? Let's just say...we're torn.

Nina DobrevIt's not uncommon for us to swoon over celebs' red carpet looks, but more often than not, the dresses we love cost thousands of dollars (a.k.a more than our entire closet). So when we found out that "Vampire Diaries" star Nina Dobrev's look from the 2010 Scream Awards—a chic, long-sleeved, V-neck dress, which made the cut on our best-dressed list, was actually (gasp!) in our price-range, we were shocked!

Just Jared Jr. reports that Nina wore "Marisol in Black Eye" by the always-cool Rock & Republic to the event. Actual cost? $228.00 before shipping! Now, we know that a $228 dress isn't exactly cheap, but for a sleek look straight from the red carpet, it's pretty freaking awesome. Plus, this dress is totally multi-purpose. You could wear it to dinner, work, a crazy party, or of course, in Nina's case, a red carpet affair. To top it all off, since it's simply black, you can keep things interesting by pairing it with a variety of shoes and jewelery for a unique look each time.

So, there you have it. Skip a couple of trips to Forever 21 and you can glam it up just like Nina!

Would you buy this dress?

We wouldn't blame you if you mistook Saturday's 2010 Scream Awards for a meeting of the American Vampire League. I mean, the bloodsuckers were everywhere at the ceremony. From "Twilight," and "The Vampire Diaries" to "True Blood," stars showed up in force to celebrate all things ooky and spooky. Fittingly, the red carpet was flooded with lots of dark blacks and grays, with one-shouldered dresses on the likes of Kristen Stewart and Nina Dobrev, making a serious showing. Of course, not everyone pulled off the latest trends in style. Check out our recap of the evening's best and worst dressed!

We have to admit, we've had quite a love-hate relationship with KStew's closet over the past year, but when we saw her hit the Scream Awards in this short, black-and-gray GUiSHEM Spring 2011 dress, we were instant fans. We loved the one-shoulder look, as well as the surprisingly revealing back. Our only gripe? The hair! We liked it loose, but a little frizz control never hurts. "Twilight" costar Nikki Reed also donned a one-shoulder frock, but hers failed to inspire. Nikki's LBD was unoriginal and ill-fitting (the waist-line for the skirt needed to be lower). Unfortunately, costar Jackson Rathbone didn't fare much better with his attire. Jackson wore an odd mix of items, including a black leather jacket with silver jewelery and ash-brown (or are they gray?) trousers with brown shoes. Hard to wrap your head around, right? Next time Jackson, we suggest sticking to one style from head-to-toe.

It's beyond thrilling to think that "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" is only a month and four days away. Warner Bros. has been teasing us with awesome posters and even better trailers, but here's some news that should really get you pumped: MTV has learned exclusively that Spike will debut a brand new clip from the film at their Scream Awards (airing Oct. 19 at 9/8 C).

The trailers have given us a pretty well-rounded look at the film, but there are still a couple of clips that we would love to see at the awards ceremony. Some we've peeked before, some we haven't, but all of our ideas would be a real treat for Potter fans leading up to the premiere of "Deathly Hallows: Part 1."

If you prefer your Hollywood hotties on the "blood-soaked" end of the spectrum, you'll want to tune into this year's Spike TV Scream 2010 Awards on October 19th—where all your favorite ghosts, ghouls, scaremongers and scream queens will gather to honor the best in this year's sci-fi, fantasy, comics and horror films. Even Kristen Stewart, favorite prey of vampires everywhere, will make an appearance on the event's red carpet.

Kristen has earned a nomination for Best Fantasy Actress, even though a few hard-nosed horror fans are arguing that "Eclipse" doesn't really deserve a spot at the Scream awards. (Clearly they've never been sitting in a crowd of teenage girls during Taylor Lautner's shirtless scenes. Talk about screaming.) And she'll be joined by other screamingly fabulous (haha, see what we did there?) celebs including Megan Fox, "Star Trek'"s Chris Hemsworth and "True Blood" hottie Alexander Skarsgård, who's vying for "Best Horror Actor" honors alongside co-star Stephen Moyer.

There was no easing into last night's macabre festivities at Spike TV's Scream 2009 award show. Nope, my eyes were covered mere seconds into the telecast as a pair of creepy blonde twins ascended above the stage. Instead of engaging in a rousing game of hopscotch or Miss Mary Mack, the devilish duo put on a bone-chilling display of "Mindfreak" proportions, as one drew a knife to her throat apparently slashing it, while blood gushed instead from the artery of her sister. Shudder! Squeal! Hide! And that was just the beginning. There was an award for Most Memorable Mutilation Scene. Seriously.

Between disembowlments and decapitations, the sci-fi/fantasy/horror ceremony managed to hand out several spike statues, with the HBO series "True Blood" sucking up the most wins. The vampire brethren of "Twilight" along with "Star Trek" and "Transformers" also scored several awards. In addition to the many stars on hand, the audience was packed with vampire/zombie/ghost-clad audience members who looked as bloodthirsty as Count Dracula. I have a feeling some of their desires were quenched with the slew of World Premiere footage aired throughout the night from highly anticipated films like "New Moon," "Alice in Wonderland," and "Shutter Island," as well as a never-before-seen clip from "Star Trek."

As I continue to try to bleach my brain of last night's horrors, let's turn our attention to some of the best moments from the Spike ceremony.
