If there's one place vampires, werewolves and humans can co-exist peacefully, it's surely the red carpet. Love triangles, team alliances and centuries-old pacts were put aside last night to celebrate the long-awaited premiere of "New Moon" at LA's Westwood village theater. (Did you read our live blog throughout the night?) Though fans lined up for hours to get a glimpse of their favorite "Twilight" stars, we've got a fashion rundown you can enjoy in the comfort of your own home—sans earplugs.

A lot has changed for the Saga's stars since last year's premiere, including their wardrobe. Kristen Stewart eschewed her mini-dress of yore, opting instead for a floor-grazing, gray-stitched gown by Oscar De La Renta. But in signature Kristen-fashion she funked it up by adding a few bangles, smokey eyes and a messy, half up-do. Kristen's onscreen love Robert Pattinson looked every inch the movie star in a black Gucci suit, with a soft yet still-slightly tousled haircut and his token stubble.

A word of advice for all writers looking to spend 143 weeks on the "New York Times" bestseller list: do what "Twilight" mastermind Stephenie Meyer did and listen to your mother. The author appeared on the "Oprah Winfrey" show Friday afternoon for her only interview leading up to the release of "New Moon" and revealed a little-known fact about her second novel — the ending would've been much tamer if not for her mother's advice.

"My mom was like, 'You know, Stephenie, maybe a little more action at the end would be a good idea. Maybe you need that.' And she was right, as usual. So after kind of stewing about it I introduced the Volturi a little bit earlier in the series than I was planning. That whole scene at the end — that's kind of my favorite part now — is there because my mom told me it would be better that way."

Stephenie Meyer wanted to make it clear when she announced that she would be a guest on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" Friday, that this was going to be her one big interview about "New Moon." Arguably, Oprah is kind of a big deal, so we get it. The "Twilight" author took to her blog to announce that she was excited to chat with the talk show maven when she sits down with her on Friday (November 13). Yes, the author extraordinaire will be stopping by "Oprah" on — wait for it — Friday the 13th!

"You know I've been doing the hermit thing this last year, in so far as media is concerned, and I'm not changing that now, but I am making an exception," she wrote on her website. "I'm doing this for a good reason: I am so pleased and amazed and thrilled with what Chris Weitz has done with 'New Moon' that I want to talk about it, and to show my support for him. And since I'm only doing one interview, better make it big. Really big. So....I will be on 'The Oprah Winfrey Show' on Friday, November 13th."

For those who care to look so far back, there was a time when Robert Pattinson was not yet Edward Cullen. Jackson Rathbone, who has since been cast as fellow Cullen, Jasper Hale, at one point had been pretty close to landing the leading male role himself.

"I was a choice. I don't think I was [Catherine Hardwick's] first choice," Jackson told us in a recent interview on the set of his new movie, "Girlfriend."

Let the (vampire and werewolf) games begin! The on set of "New Moon," as all you Twi-Hards know, is about to take a big giant cliff jump (if you will) into a sea of movie premieres, new clips , new stills, talk show appearances, and so on, as the Nov. 20th release date nears closer and closer. Being one of the requisite sites that covers the "Twilight" franchise to the umpteenth degree (hey, you love it. We love it. It's a win-win), we plan to continue to bring you just about anything and everything we can get our teeth on.

Just today (in European time, folks!), world premiere "New Moon" scenes (and readings from the Stephenie Meyer book) aired at the 4th International Rome Film Festival. There was, of course, a red carpet to go along with this celebration, though don't go grabbing your best Team Edward or Team Jacob apparel just yet, as many main members of the cast didn't make the trip to Rome (perhaps because most are wrapping on the "Eclipse" set in Vancouver?).

Your SAT scores aren't the only thing that could make or break your acceptance into a prestigious university. Turns out one highly regarded institution of higher learning quizzes its applicants on Stephenie Meyer's hugely popular vampire romance.

According to the UK's Telegraph, Oxford University applicants are as likely to be asked about "Twilight" as they are about the Bard himself, William Shakespeare.

There's something about "The Twilight Saga: New Moon: The Official Illustrated Movie Companion" (released yesterday) that reminds me of shaking neatly wrapped presents on Christmas Eve. Perhaps it's knowing that a little rattle might clue me in to the treat that's yet to come.

The "Movie Companion" is a glossy, 141-page behind-the-scenes look at the filming of the Saga sequel, complete with never-before-seen shots (The muffin scene! The three-way date scene, which you can see a pic of after the jump!) that we've heard so much about on the blogosphere. The narrative starts with then ensuing fandemonium after the release of "Twilight," next delving into the selection of director Chris Weitz for the sequel, then whizzing through location scouting, makeup and special effects, ending with the promise of "Eclipse."

For any movie buff (and especially any rabid Twilighter) the "Movie Companion" is an engrossing read—a glimpse into the minds and motivations behind "New Moon." (Now I understand how telepathic Edward feels!). Though there's too much good stuff to rehash here, we've bitten off our five favorite revelations for you to chew on:

FROM SPLASH PAGE: Last week, we gave you the first look inside "Female Force: Stephenie Meyer," the comic book biography of "Twilight" author Stephenie Meyer. Now, we have another exclusive peek at the comic—but this time, we're bringing you a brand new cover image.

Back when the project was first announced, we told you that publisher Bluewater Productions was planning to release it in two versions: a standard-size comic and a limited-edition, 32-page version featuring an illustrated history of Forks, Washington. Now, to go along with their special cover only available at Forks retailer Dazzled By Twilight, Bluewater has told MTV News that another Forks-based shop, 98331 Gear, will be carrying the book—complete with a brand new cover exclusive to that shop.

To see the cover in full, continue reading "EXCLUSIVE: Stephenie Meyer Bio Comic Gets Variant Covers For 'Twilight' Hometown" at SplashPage.MTV.com.

"New Moon" is still two months away from hitting theaters, "Eclipse" is filming and Summit Entertainment is figuring out who is doing what in "Breaking Dawn" pre-production, but with film rights for Stephenie Meyer's "The Host" being purchased earlier this week, the focus has shifted away momentarily from "The Twilight Saga" and instead to its science fiction cousin.

I've met plenty of "Twilight" fans who still haven't read "The Host," even though its maintained its spot on the New York Times bestsellers list from its debut in May 2008. In many ways, I like it more than "The Twilight Saga" for its intriguing plot and interesting characters. The dynamic relationship between Melanie, a rebel human trying to resist an alien invasion, and Wanda, the alien or Soul who possess her body, is the driving force of the entire novel, and a really intriguing one at that.

So what we at Hollywood Crush have decided to do (since we've had so much luck with it in the past) is put together a wish list (see it after the jump!) of our preferred actors to get cast in "The Host." And this time, if we get it right, please let us know first!

Melissa Rosenberg has got to be the happiest lady in the Twi-verse. She has just signed on, according to E! Online, to pen the screenplay of the final “Twilight” novel, “Breaking Dawn” — which, by the way, we still don’t know if it’s going to be in one or two movies.

According to E!, when they spoke to Melissa last week, she said “everything was still up in the air,” but their “Twilight” insider said Melissa's deal is done, though Summit has returned to the idea of splitting “Breaking Dawn” into two movies.
