As far as fairytales go, Taylor Swift is living a pretty good one. Besides having a hugely successful music career, the young singer (she's turning 20 in December!), has already graced the covers of leading magazines, signed on to work on a line of greeting cards and embarked upon the movie industry. Did we mention that she's somehow managed to maintain a squeaky clean image throughout it all? There's no doubt that moms love her and kids want to be her and so it comes as no surprise that someone has finally decided to turn this girl into a doll.
That's right, thanks to toy marketer Jackks Pacific, you can now purchase your very own and very plastic Taylor Swift (right in time for the holiday season!). The choices range between the "Taylor Swift Performance Collection," which includes three dolls, each featuring snippets from her hit songs, and the "Taylor Swift Fashion Collection," with outfits from her memorable award show and TV appearances. Lets just say we called this one, when we nominated her to play "Barbie" in the new live action movie a couple of months back!
After attending last night's star-studded New York City "New Moon" premiere, Taylor Lautner was up bright and early (or perhaps he stayed awake all night like his shapeshifting alter ego?) to hit the morning show circuit. First up was a "Today" show one-on-one with Matt Lauer (uh — now we kind of want to know why all four "Today" anchors were in on Kristen Stewart's interview?), where the host worked in one of the sneakiest segues I've ever seen. After asking whether friends and family keep Taylor grounded, Matt cautiously brought up another of Taylor's "friends," Miss Taylor Swift. "How's that going?" he asked, mentioning he'd seen the country star's shoutout to He-Taylor on "SNL."
"She's great. She's a great girl," Taylor said with a big grin. "I was definitely blushing when that happened."
"So you didn't expect it?" Matt asked. "No, it was a surprise," Taylor answered.
In addition to the usual fandemonium/weight gain conversation, Matt also managed to throw in another question likely to send fangirls into a tizzy, asking Taylor about his almost constant shirtlessness in the sequel. "Yeah, it was a little awkward just because we were flming in Vancouver in March. So it's snowing for the whole first month, and I'm the only one wearing the little jean shorts," Taylor replied.
Taylor Swift hasn't been shy about her love for stationary, cards and writing letters. So, knowing her connection with written prose, it doesn't come as a huge surprise that the singing superstar has hooked up with American Greetings.
The singer will create a line of greeting cards, gift wrap, stationery, online custom photo products and online greetings for the company. The line is expected to hit stores in Spring 2010, according to a press release.
“My idea of a great song is a song that says how I feel better than I could. I feel the same way about greeting cards,” Taylor said in the release. “I’ve always been fascinated by feelings and how we express them to each other. Getting to write and design these cards is a wonderful experience.”
After last night's play-by-play of the "New Moon" premiere in LA (The dresses! The signs! The Pattinson!) we wanted to see how the stars felt after all the premiere madness on Twitter. Jamie Campbell Bower posted on his page, "Wow. Utterly amazing last night was. Thank you to everyone who camped out, showed their support or was there in spirit. Love you. x" and Edi Gathegi (pictured, left) wrote, "Thank you everyone! Last night was spectacular. Hope we do well this weekend. And hope you love the film!" No need to worry there, Edi, we can pretty much foresee both of those things happening. But, the hardcore fans weren't the only ones getting love from last night's festivities, the film's director Chris Weitz (pictured, right) got props from his stars today. After giving kudos to fans, Gil Birmingham gave love to the man at the helm, "Really amazing movie. Chris Weitz is a master." Ditto Tinsel Korey who tweeted, "By the way... the movie was awesome. Wolf Pack rocks! Mr. Weitz you have made an amazing film. :)"
Of course, we've all got to find something to do to kill time until the movie's release this Friday! Luckily, some new tunes dropped today and we know which albums Taylor Swift will be jamming with, "Two of my favorite boys have albums out today: @johncmayer and @justinbieber. Good luck this week!" Both her boys showed their gratitude via Twitter. Justin Bieber, whose album has been climbing the charts steadily all day, took to his Twitter to thank all his followers, "getting alot of congrats and this is a fairytale type messages. Just wanted 2 say thank u 2 all of u for 2day because u made this dream real," while John Mayer wrote a gracious, "It's here - Battle Studies. Having a quiet afternoon filled with gratitude. Thanks everyone for following along..."

The 19-year-old singer-songwriter has yet again put her own personal twang on an established industry. First the pop charts (and the CMAs!), and now this coming month, the cover of InStyle magazine. For the first time ever on a fashion magazine, a cover story will appear in 3-D, visible only through your own personal webcam. So before you start reading Taylor Swift’s article — and after your done skyping — check out her 3-d image (which we'll give you a hint, involves snow!).
Besides her classic country curls, Taylor has many of her own thoughts to share with the readers of InStyle. She even touches on what most readers probably want to know about: her work with fellow young hottie Taylor Lautner! The two Taylors worked on Swift’s first feature film called "Valentine’s Day," and as you can expect she explains it can get kind of confusing having the same name on set — its always "no, not you, the other one!" So the solution the cover girl came up with? "‘How about you guys call me Swifty and call him Taylor?'" Swifty? We think it’ll stick.
Hey "Vampire Diaries" casting department, enough with all the hot dudes. Just kidding! There's no such thing. But I AM totally ready for some foxy ladies to come in and stir things up. That's why I was psyched when I read that Gina Torres (of "Angel" and "Firefly" fame ... ah, so Joss Whedon must love her) is set to visit Mystic Falls next week.
According to Fancast.com, Gina will play Bree, a "'past' associate of Damon's." She also happens to be "a bit of a witch," and the article speculates that she might be able to help Damon access the tomb his love Katherine is trapped inside. Um, AWESOME. Sounds like a fantastic character to stir things up. The "Vampire Diaries" storylines just keep gaining momentum — I don't think there's been a slow week yet.
To say Taylor Swift is having a good week would be an understatement. The awards have been ample, the laughs plentiful and the success has been overwhelming.
"I'm going to go hang out with my crew and my band and the people at my record label, and we're going to hug and dance and jump up and down," she told People after The Country Music Awards last night.
Fresh off her hilarious debut on "Saturday Night Live," Taylor cleaned house at the CMAs and made history. She won Female Vocalist of the Year, Album of the Year and Music Video of the Year, but it was her Entertainer of the Year trophy that has allotted her a place in the record books as she is the youngest person ever to earn that prize. The question is: Where will she put all these awards?
As the nation honors those who have served for our country, celebs took to their Twitter pages to pay their respects on this Veteran's Day. Matchbox Twenty crooner Rob Thomas posted, "to all of the men and women of our military who have sacrificed and to their families who waited for them to come home safe, thank you," while "ER" actor and current Broadway star John Stamos (pictured) shared a similar sentiment, writing on his page, "my love, respect and thanks to all those who serve or have served and thank you to your familes for all of your sacrifices." For some, today's holiday has a much deeper meaning, like for that of "New Moon" star Gil Birmingham who shared, "As the son of someone who served in the military, I know the work and sacrifices our soldiers and their families make for this country." On behalf of all of us at Hollywood Crush, we too would like to thank all those who have served our country. Happy Veterans Day to you all.
We're sure there will be mention of the holiday at tonight's Country Music Awards, which the stars have been gearing up for all day. Jennette McCurdy was anxious for the ceremony, tweeting, "I've got butterflies in my stomach - can't wait for CMAs tonight!," while cool-as-a-cucumber Taylor Swift (hey, after Kanye and "SNL" the girl has nothing left to sweat!) got ready in an unorthodox fashion, "Getting all pumped up for the CMA's, blasting timbaland 'morning after dark' in the dressing room. PARTY!!"
If you tuned into this weekend's "Saturday Night Live" hoping for a cameo by host/musical guest Taylor Swift's rumored love interest Taylor Lautner, you were plum out of luck, as the "Twilight" star was in L.A. promoting his upcoming flick "New Moon." But He-Taylor was never far from She-Taylor's thoughts during the night. In fact, she sang about him!
In her quirky, endearing monologue song called, well, "Monologue Song (La La La)," the 19-year-old addressed the rumors about their relationship, singing, "And if you're wondering if I might be dating
the werewolf from 'Twilight'/I'm not going to comment on that in my monologue." Though she did pause to mouth "Hi Taylor," blow a kiss towards the camera and wink. Very cryptic, Miss Swift.
If country-pop cutie Taylor Swift has her way, you may do a double take when the 19-year-old takes the Studio 8H stage to host and perform as musical guest on "Saturday Night Live" this weekend.
"I want to look nothing like myself," she told MTV News from the set of the sketch comedy show. "I told all the writers, 'Don't count anything out.' I want to go completely, 100 percent in. I don't want to be halfway involved. Just because I have a lot of things to do as far as being musical guest and host doesn't mean I don't want to live up to my full hosting demands."
