For a weekend that was filled with sad news, many took to Twitter, not only to spread the word about how people can do their part for those suffering in Japan, but for some brief escapism in the form of entertainment. Followers of singer Katy Perry learned the latest about her single "E.T." when she posted, "WE'RE #1 ON ITUNES! GREAT news to wake up to! Thank u for ur AMAZING support," while "Harry Potter" actress Emma Watson announced, "It starts with an L and ends with an E. I’m sure you have guessed the new face of Lancôme is me! :-)."

On the other end of the Hollywood spectrum came some particularly great news out of the 2011 SXSW Festival in Austin, Texas. The three-day movie, music and art fest has become a go-to spot for film premieres, which this year includes the comedy Hollywood Crush simply can't wait to see: "Bridesmaids." The flick—and particularly its star/co-writer Kristen Wiig (pictured here in a scene from the movie)—received raves from those who attended the screening. "Paul" star Simon Pegg praised, "It is without doubt the funniest film I have seen in a long, long time. LOVED it" as "The Back-Up Plan" sidekick Michaela Watson assured, "Saw screening #bridesmaids last nite.Hats off to Kristin Wiig 'n everyone else involved for revolutionizing womens' roles in comedy 4 ever!"

"The Bachelor" and its star Jake Pavelka (pictured), sure do conjure up a lot of strong feelings from people, even throughout the Twitterverse. Singer Savannah Outen was vocal about her contempt over last night's episode, tweeting, "lots of yelling going on in my house. jake let gia go. WHY? WHY?" Elsewhere, "Access Hollywood" host Nancy O' Dell pondered her fascination with the reality show, posting, "watching The Bachelor..completely addicting, mostly becuz don't understand how these people don't mind the other making out with multiples!" Comedian and actor Michael Showalter opted to save himself the headaches and heartaches all together, saying, "Didn't watch "Bachelor" last night — I feel so clean."

While "The Bachelor" made fans flip last night, at least today they can enjoy some flapjacks as today marks Pancake Day 2010! "Harry Potter" star Tom Felton was certainly celebrating, as he tweeted, "happy pancake day! i feel like i have happy pancake day far too often! send me photos if you make some :)" Reality star Stephanie Pratt took part in the festivities and the proof was in the batter, "Pancakes were a hit!!!! :) http://tweetphoto.com/11598472" Meanwhile, Jamie Campbell Bower had a joke that fell, well, flat, as he posted to fans, "Had a flat day. Get it? Flat day? Pancake? Maybe not."
