"That was by far the gayest thing that has ever been on TV, period." That's how Chris Colfer described the fan favorite scene between he and Darren Criss singing "Baby, It's Cold Outside" in the Christmas episode of "Glee" in this week's Entertainment Weekly.
Chris, who recently snagged a Golden Globe for his performance as the bullied, yet defiant Kurt, appears on the cover of EW with his "Glee" co-star Darren for a story about the recent trend of gay characters on network television.
The issue, which hits newsstands today, chronicles the history of gay teenagers on TV from classics like "My So-Called Life," "Dawson's Creek" and "Degrassi" to current ground breakers like "Glee" and "Pretty Little Liars" (both of which were nominated for GLAAD Media Awards this week).

During the past year we’ve had the opportunity to get to know some of the freshest young hotties to hit Hollywood every Wednesday thanks to our Hump Day Hottie feature (you're welcome). So as we get ready to ring in 2011, we here at Hollywood Crush wanted to pick our top 10 and, well, remind you why we loved them so much in the first place. Today's reveal includes Nos. 10 through 6, but you'll have to come back next week to check out the final five!

10. Ben McKenzie
Sure he might always be Ryan Atwood to us, but we kind of love watching him chase down the bad guy on TNT’s "Southland." Ben was an early contender as one of this year’s Hump Day Hotties, but all these months later we’re still carrying a torch for the blond cutie. Thank goodness his cop drama's set to return again next month.

One of the cruelest facts about Adam Brody's career trajectory (and no, we're ignoring the fact that Rachel Bilson dumped him for Hayden Christensen...but then dumped him too) is that he has been firmly relegated to comedic wing-man status. This is probably due largely to his hilarious portrayal of Seth Cohen on "The OC," the show that shot him to fame, where he was arguably more popular than the show's leading man, Ben McKenzie.
But since then, Adam's best performances have been in secondary roles. He was pitch-perfect in "Thank You For Smoking," similarly adorable in "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" and even managed to add something special to this year's "Cop Out." But during that time, he's only had one quasi-major leading role in the 2007 flick "In The Land of Women," which didn't do especially well but did land him as a romantic interest opposite Meg Ryan and a pre-"Twilight" Kristen Stewart. Fortunately for all of us Adam Brody fans out there, it looks like he's finally ready to return to head billing.

It's been four years since the last original Josh Schwartz television productions—"Gossip Girl" and "Chuck"—hit television airwaves, so we figure it's about time that he give us something new to love. Deadline has the exclusive that Josh is planning on reuniting with his "The OC" star and frequent collaborator Rachel Bilson (who couldn't love her brief guest spot in the first season of "Chuck"?!) for a supernatural romantic comedy series called "Ghost Angeles."
Consider it a sign of just how effective all of Josh's shows have been that NBC picked up the pilot for the series before Josh and his co-writer Henry Alonso Myers ("Ugly Betty") even wrote it. The project sparked a heated bidding war with NBC coming out on top, continuing the relationship Josh and the network started with "Chuck" (which, against all odds, just started its fourth season).

Sometimes I wish I didn't go to Northeastern University for college...or at least waited a few years. After all, the university totally missed capitalizing on the blaze of pop culture sweeping the nation! While I was busy taking the most mundane Japanese film class you could ever imagine (it was so bad), someone out there will be learning about zombies!
Yes, you read that right. Zombies!
I'm talking about University of Baltimore's newest class offering: English 333. Studying society by utilizing the undead, students get to watch 16 classic zombie movies, read comics involving the monsters (*cough* "The Walking Dead" *cough*) and, for a final, have to write a script for their own zombie projects. The worst part (for me) is that they aren't the only school doing something like this.

Are you a fan of "Gossip Girl," but can't help the fact that your inner nerd loves NBC's "Chuck"? Well, let creator Josh Schwartz pull you in two directions no longer, because he and "Gossip Girl" and "The OC" co-writer/producer Stephanie Savage have bought the rights to a book that seems to combine both genres seamlessly.

Yesterday, Deadline broke that Josh and Stephanie's Paramount-based Fake Empire production company bought the rights to Joe Schreiber's upcoming young adult novel "Au Revoir, Crazy European Chick" in a two-book deal, which has Roy Lee producing (he's behind most of the big horror movies of the past decade, and "How To Train Your Dragon." Go figure).

Last summer, Mischa Barton sat down with MTV News and shared that she'd totally be down for an "O.C." reunion. And, yes, she's well aware her character, Marissa Cooper, was dead, but that’s where her genius idea of bringing Marissa back as a zombie comes into play. So, when we cornered Ben McKenzie (or, uh, scheduled him for an interview to chat about his show "Southland"), we got him to weigh in on the idea. And, as it turns out, he's not too keen on it.
"What? I don't know. She can do whatever she wants," a semi-stunned Ben told us about Mischa's sort of loony idea. "I don't know that we'd really ever do an 'O.C.' movie. I think most people have moved on."

How better of a mom will Melinda Clarke be as Kelly Donovan than her "O.C." alter ego Julie Cooper? Well it’s only a matter of time before we see Kelly’s maternal instincts with her hottie son Matt when she joins the “Vampire Diaries” (the show returns in March). And, Katerina Graham, who plays the bewitching Bonnie on The CW show, admits it’s nice to be reunited with TV’s number one bad girl.
“I was on the ’O.C.’ and I loved her on it,” Kat tells Hollywood Crush of Melinda's stint as Zach Roerig's sexpot mom on the show. “And I think she's such a great actress and she’s so fun and a great addition to the cast.”

Since he first hit it big in 2003 with "The OC," Josh Schwartz has been busy making TV gold. He is the (co-)mastermind behind the sinful "Gossip Girl" and wonderfully nerdy "Chuck," and is responsible for making the careers of current young hotties Blake Lively, Chace Crawford, Rachel Bilson and Zachary Levi. And Mischa Barton for a brief stint of time before she pissed him off so much he killed her off "The OC" (even better: Cam Gigandet did the deed!).
Well, now Josh is trying to expand his horizons to the film industry. He is already set to remake the 80s flop "Bright Lights, Big City," but now New York Magazine's Vulture blog scooped that he is set to remake another 80s bomb. According to the Vulture, Josh is going to take a stab at the 1981 Franco Zeffirelli film, "Endless Love."

Taylor Handley first skated into our lives in the family friendly flick "Jack Frost," but in the decade since that movie hit theaters, he sure has grown into quite a heartthrob. With roles in a few major flicks coming up and his awesome turn as Oliver on "The O.C." still fresh in our memories (even if it was seven years ago!), we have to say that we can't wait to see more of Taylor. Until, then he's being named this week's Hump Day Hottie.
Press play on the video below to see more of Taylor, and then keep reading for more details about him!
Vital Stats: The 25-year-old Santa Barbara, Calif. native got his start in 1998 in "Jack Frost" and since then he's caught the ladies' eyes in a variety of roles on the big and small screen. Plus, when he's not busy acting, he's busy making music with his band, Nobody's Looking. Hey, Taylor, we are!
