Thanks, People magazine, but we've known Ryan Reynolds is a stone-cold fox for a while now. I mean, the guy oozes charm, charisma and well, sexiness (obvs), so it's about time he joined the ranks of Sexiest Man Alive title-holders like George Clooney, Brad Pitt and Johnny Depp. And while rock-hard abdominals likely had something do with his newest accolade, a bevy of hot big-screen performances don't hurt either. Join us as we reminisce about Ryan's sexiest roles to date, and chime in with your own in the comments section!

With "Buried" and "Green Lantern" being two of the most talked about films of the year, it's not a big surprise that GQ decided to have star Ryan Reynolds be their October cover boy. The profile of the actor, who at many times it seems is universally loved for pretty much every step in his career, is an intriguing look at someone who is surprisingly guarded yet content with his life.
Despite the fact that Ryan opens up to GQ, there is an unmistakable air of restraint with everything he shares. This is most obvious in regards to his relationship with wife Scarlett Johansson, which Ryan says "hasn't been some covert operation," but he still chooses "to remain as private as possible without being secretive."

With EW's surprise announcement yesterday that Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds are set to be starring in yet another romantic comedy together, suddenly Scarlett Johansson's choice to smooch Sandy at the MTV Movie Awards doesn't seem so random.
Maybe her jealousy was less from the fact that her hubby got to smooch the Generation Award winning star in "The Proposal" and more from the fact he's be getting to do it all over again in the upcoming "Most Wanted."

Our Girl Crush this week isn’t exactly a girl … she's one fabulous woman. And she’s been doing this whole Hollywood thing for quite sometime, especially during her golden years. Okay, we’ll stop with the hints and just tell you already (though she needs no introduction)! The one and only Betty White is who we’re crushing on!
You might be a little confused as to how she can be our girl crush, but Betty has been around since before most of today’s Iit-girls were even born. Her resume shows a list of accomplishments even Hollywood heavy-weights could only dream of. Betty’s career really started in the 1940s with her radio show "The Betty White Show" but her first TV appearance was with the variety show "Hollywood on Television," which she later went on to host. And perhaps her most well-known role was as loveable but ditzy Rose on "The Golden Girls," which earned her one of six Emmy Awards.

Everyone loves to love Sandra Bullock, even if they dislike her movies. Film journalist Mark Kermode once wrote, "She's funny, she's gorgeous, it's impossible not to love her and yet she makes rotten film after rotten film after rotten film." It seems as though 2009 personified this idea, because as Sandra had her most successful film to date in "The Proposal" and won an Oscar for "The Blind Side," she also won her first Razzie for "All About Steve." Still, it proved that, at 46 and fabulous, Sandra Bullock is here to stay.
Sandra — or as she is affectionately addressed by her friends, "Sandy" — was born in Arlington, Virginia on the outskirts of Washington, DC. Her mother was a German opera singer and her father a voice coach, so she spent much of her youth on the road around Germany and other parts of Europe and participated in a number of choirs. However, after Sandra graduated high school she decided to study acting at East Carolina University in North Carolina.

"Valentine's Day" is out in theaters, Valentine's Day is around the corner, and the chick flick has never been more relevant. No matter what your go-to fuzzy-feelings inducer might be: "The Notebook," "Pride & Prejudice" or "Gone With The Wind," we have a certain set of guidelines to determining what the best chick flicks out there are.
But first, the type of film we are trying to identify needs to be cleared up. A quick glance at Urban Dictionary's definitions of "chick flick" leads us to become more and more disappointed. From "A film that has a happy, fuzzy, ridiculously unrealistic ending" to "A movie that embodies all that is wrong with the world," these definitions don't seem to capture the side of chick flicks that makes us love them.

It's coming down to crunch time, people. Today the Golden Globes have announced their list of 2010 nominees. There were some pleasant surprises, some let downs (my heart breaks at "District 9" only being nominated for Best Screenplay), but still plenty of noms that have we at Hollywood Crush pretty darn excited.
First and foremost, both Anna Kendrick and Vera Farmiga got nominated for their outstanding roles in "Up in the Air" (press play above to hear Anna talk about her role). While it's unsurprising, the news bodes well for the two in terms of Oscar talk. However, they're up against some pretty stiff competition with Mo'nique in "Precious," and Julianne Moore and Penelope Cruz are never actors to be taken lightly.

His native Canada may have celebrated Turkey Day a few weeks ago, but we'll wager our Aunt Bertha's candied yams that it's not too late to give thanks to our favorite actor this year: the talented Ryan Reynolds.
It's plain to see why the 33-year-old takes our Thanksgiving honor. Rockin' bod aside (you saw those abs on the cover of Entertainment Weekly, right?), the actor scored big this year with the summer blockbuster "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" and established indie cred alongside Kristen Stewart in the coming-of-age "Adventureland." And then there's "The Proposal," which holds the title for highest-grossing romantic comedy (in the U.S.) ever, leading us to wonder whether Ryan's the new king of the genre. But the star certainly isn't sitting on his laurels, throughout 2009 he lined up several high-profile projects for the coming year including an "X-Men" spin-off featuring his Wade Wilson/Deadpool character and the lead in DC Comics' "Green Lantern." When MTV News caught up with Ryan to extend our congratulations on his well-deserved honor, he reflected a bit on his stellar 2009.

Whether he's slaying vampires with stakes or slaying audiences with laughter, there's one thing that everybody can agree upon when it comes to actor Ryan Reynolds — he's pretty awesome.
The Canadian-born actor, recently seen in this summer's "The Proposal" and "X-Men Origins: Wolverine," turned 33 years-old today, prompting the crew here at Birthday Bash — which mostly consists of me, but I like referring to myself as a team — to wish the erstwhile Van Wilder a very happy birthday!
If you're not as convinced as I am that Reynolds is a fantastic Hollywood icon worth celebrating, then please indulge me as I run down five reasons we should all be thankful for the actor's continually evolving career.

It's been four months since Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Bullock united on the big screen to play a boss and assistant who "fake" an engagement in the romantic comedy "The Proposal." If you were one of the many moviegoers who took in the highest grossing rom com in history (OK, only in the U.S., but still people, that's quite a feat!) when it was still in theaters, then you'll recall the way the movie ended, leaving us all even more charmed by Ryan that we already were.
You see, after calling off his faux engagement to his Canadian boss, Maggie (Sandra), Ryan's Andrew (SPOILER ALERT!!) realizes he wasn't faking the relationship — he actually has feelings for the rigid bitch! So, in the midst of Maggie's departure from his small Alaskan hometown, Andrew does what any guy in love would do: tries to stop her plane home from taking off so that he can proclaim is love. His attempts fail but we do know the couple winds up together (duh, this is a Sandra Bullock movie after all).
Now, if you can erase everything I just mentioned from your head for oh, five minutes, then you should press play on our exclusive deleted scene below from "The Proposal" DVD/Blu-ray (out Oct. 13), in which Andrew manages to have his buddy send Maggie a message while she's on the aforementioned flight. If this scene had been included in the actual movie, we're not quite sure how it would've changed the outcome ... but god knows if Ryan Reynolds ever called us a "foxy lady," we'd be attempting to turn that plane back around ourselves!
