The term "bromance" gets thrown around a lot these days, never really capturing the true essence or unrequited dude love. And while the guys from "I Love You, Man" and "Pineapple Express" have all made noble efforts to become the greatest bromance story ever, we think "Take Me Home Tonight" star Topher Grace and MTV News' own Josh Horowitz have one for the ages.
In the latest MTV After Hours clip called, fittingly, "The Topher Affair," we discover it was love at first sight for the former "That '70s Show" star and Josh after meeting on the press junket for the 2009 comedy "Valentine's Day." It takes only four minutes and a couple of compliments (Topher tells Josh, "You have, like, the bluest eyes") for these two to realize they have a special bond.
So much so, in fact, that Topher tells Josh, "If you walked out of my life, I'd miss you." With that, the two embark on a whirlwind New York City day together that includes theater, lunch and a trip to Dave and Busters.

Topher Grace's new nostalgic comedy "Take Me Home Tonight" had its premiere in Los Angeles on Wednesday (March 2) night, and the stars came out to have a blast (from the past!). Michelle Trachtenberg, who appears in the flick, told followers she was, "Hanging w @50cent at the #TakeMeHomePremiere
http://yfrog.com/gzjlxzj" and later shared her 80's-inspired swag, "I wear my sunglasses at night ;)#ILoveThe80s #TakeMeHomeTonight http://yfrog.com/h58pwtj." Lance Bass went to support his pal Anna Faris (whose name he spelled wrong, whoops!), "At the 80's premiere of "Take Me Home Tonight"- to support my girl Anna Ferris! Every day should be 80's day! http://plixi.com/p/81183545."
Anna's real-life hubby, who is also in the movie, Chris Pratt, tweeted his own endorsement after the premiere, "Go see Take Me Home Tonight. Its very funny and awesome. And I'm in it too. So go get some!!!" But it was Ryan Seacrest who probably sold quite a few tickets for the movie, which opens on Friday, when he announced the news, "1% of box office for "Take Me Home Tonight" goes to Chris Medina's fiancée's fund. $20 million = $200,000 for her! http://bit.ly/f5vqUQ"

Guys do dumb things to impress girls. It's a fact—check an encyclopedia. Thankfully for the preservation of our race, few of those crazy antics actually lead to bodily harm. But there are exceptions—like hurdling oneself down a hill while seated inside a large metal orb (that's gonna leave a few marks). Such is the case for "Take Me Home Tonight"'s Topher Grace, who takes a ride in the medieval-like torture chamber in the '80s-set rom-com out March 4.
A little background: Topher's character Matt Franklin is an aimless, recent college grad who returns home and takes a job at the local video store. While on shift, he runs into high school crush Tori (played by "I Am Number Four"'s Teresa Palmer) and to impress her, dreams up an alternate identity for himself that includes a high-powered banking job at Goldman Sachs. Tori invites him to an end-of-summer blow-out bash, but after a series of missteps, Matt is left deflated and on Tori's bad side. Hence, the ball.

Ah, young love. Full of lingering glances, innocence, sweetness, etc. There's nothing like having a crush and the warm fuzzy feelings that come along with a new love interest. Not, however, when you're one of Hollywood's most recognizable young actors and you show up to a press event with a very lovely up-and-coming young actress.
Such is the case with teen heartthrob Zac Efron and "I Am Number Four" and "Take Me Home Tonight" actress Teresa Palmer, who appeared together at a press reception that followed a screening of "Tonight" last week. Now whether they're dating, or thinking about dating, or just friends matters not when they chose to show-up at an event FILLED with reporters! To me they were just begging to be written about (which they were, on every gossip blog from here to heaven).
Anyway! In an effort to address the issue at hand, when I interviewed Teresa and co-star Topher Grace the following day about the film, I couldn't help but try and get her to explain her little outing with Zac.
My roundabout way of asking was to bring up the fact that the reception was for the cast and the reporters who had just screened the film. I asked Teresa if I somehow missed a cameo by Zac and that was the reason he was there.
"I think he just wanted to see the film," Teresa said hesitantly, with a little nervous laughter thrown in. "And now there's a storm on the Internet."

We know Topher Grace looks pretty groovy in bell bottoms and feathered hair thanks to his role as Eric Forman in "That '70s Show," but we can happily report that the 32-year-old actor looks even better in aviators and wool sport coats in the upcoming '80s comedy "Take Me Home Tonight" (out March 4).

Following the one-crazy-night set-up (think: "Superbad," "Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist"), "Take Me Home Tonight" stars Topher as recent M.I.T. graduate Matt Franklin who's more than a little confused about his future. Instead of setting his sights on a Fortune 500 company, Matt spends his summer working at a local video store. And he seems pretty okay with that until he runs into his high school crush Tori ("I Am Number Four"'s Teresa Palmer) and concocts a yuppie-approved job at Goldman Sachs to impress her. When she invites him to a rager of a Labor Day party, little does Matt know how much that night will change him. The flick also stars Dan Fogler and real-life lovebirds Anna Faris and Chris Pratt.

Natalie Portman will trade her "Black Swan" ballerina tutu for medical student scrubs this weekend in the new comedy "No Strings Attached," and I, for one, cannot wait to see her and Ashton Kutcher's on-screen chemistry. The movie focuses on the not-so-politically correct relationship between two friends who try to be just that: friends...but with benefits. Except, Ashton's Adam pines for more with Natalie's commitment-phobic Emma (role reversal!). I'm no psychic, but I'm guessing the two end up together. It wouldn't be a romantic comedy if they didn't, right?
Some wise person once said it's best to fall in love with your best friend, which wouldn't be too hard if my BFF looked like Ashton—just sayin'. Since we just love a best-friend-turned-true-love romance, we've compiled a list of our favorite movies where besties fall for each other. Swoon with us:

We all know how easy it is for Valentine's Day — the holiday, not the movie — to stir up all kinds of emotions. Some love to hate it, others hate to love it. So when the cast of "Valentine's Day" — the movie, not the holiday — got together for a special featurette on the new DVD, it was quite hilarious to find out what this group of A-Listers (who, in our mind, probably never have trouble in the love department) really think about the day-o-romance.
The best responses? It was a tie between Patrick Dempsey with, "I think it's the most unromantic day out there" and Topher Grace's "It's a nice little way to kind of check in on your relationship, and also, it's its own living hell." Taylor Swift also had a nice thought: "Everybody over thinks Valentine's Day." Press play below to see more from our EXCLUSIVE look at the "V-Day" featurette!

Despite some seriously harsh reviews from critics, the highly anticipated romantic comedy "Valentine's Day" scored big at the box office last weekend with a haul of nearly $70 million, deftly beating its closest competition "Percy Jackson & the Olympians." You've gotta believe Cupid's arrow so easily hit the bull's eye thanks to the film's star-studded cast, including Jennifer Garner, the Taylors (Swift and Lautner), Patrick Dempsey and the rom-com queen herself, Julia Roberts, whom director Garry Marshall has cast in three of his films. It's obvious Mr. Marshall plays favorites (he's also used Hector Elizondo, like, a bajillion times), but mega-watt muses are just one of Garry's film-making signatures.
To help you recognize more "Marshall-isms," Hollywood Crush has compiled a short guide we like to call, "You might be watching a Garry Marshall rom-com if..." Take a gander, and then add your own Marshall-ism in the comments section below.

"Valentine's Day" is still days away from hitting theaters, the holiday isn't even upon us, and already Warner Bros. is talking about putting together a sequel. Due largely to the success of "Dear John" (which we're hoping "Valentine's Day" is much better than), the powers that be behind Warner Bros. have been brainstorming a "New Years Eve" film that combines the same star-power formula with the New York setting. It would bring back director Gary Marshall and potentially some of the same stars for continuity.
Granted, we haven't seen the film yet, but this franchise idea seems like it could really work. And with many movies, a much wider range of actors could be brought together which would be great for the fans and the stars. Could this be the first romantic comedy franchise?
In Deadline Hollywood's report, they said that while New Years seemed the logical choice for a second film, the films had the potential to keep going from holiday to holiday. We'll throw our hat in the ring and suggest five more holidays that could be good fodder for romantic subtext.
