You may not have a starring role in your upcoming film, Anna Kendrick, but you do get a chance to star in what is sure to the most beloved film of the summer. Can "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World" top "Inception" in reviews and the box office? Only time will tell.
If that alone isn't enough of a great 25th birthday present, you can add to that the fact that in one quarter of a decade you've managed to accomplish more than most actors — film or stage — have accomplished in their entire career.

How adorable was Anna Kendrick tonight when she won the trophy for Best Breakout Star at the MTV Movie Awards? Beating out the likes of Chris Pine, Zach Galifianakis and more, Anna, who was wearing a Zac Posen frock, was visibly surprised when her name was called. So much so, she even kept her speech short and sweet (just like she is!). "I am not cool enough to win an MTV Movie Award," she said when she got on stage, "so I am not going to mess it up by talking any more than I should."
Turns out, the "Up in the Air" actress might of been a little nervous as she was a golden popcorn virgin. "This is my first MTV Movie Awards," she told MTV News' Josh Horowitz on the red carpet before the show. "I'm really excited." She was so excited, in fact, that she didn't really think to prepare beforehand. "It didn't occur to me until I pulled up that that is kind of a loud, crazy event!" Me thinks she's spent way too much time away from the world of passionate "Twilight" fans!
What did you think of Anna's win for Best Breakout Star for "Up in The Air"? What about her speech?

Days after Anna Kendrick and "Up in the Air" came up a shocking 0-for-6 at the Oscars, the 24-year-old touched down in Tokyo to promote the film's March 20 release in Japan.
"I. Love. It. Here," she wrote on her Twitter, linking to a photo of Japanese flowers.

What if you could tell just how long a relationship is going to last from the first kiss? I know, sometimes a first kiss can seem that promising — or discouraging — but nobody ever really knows in the beginning how well or badly a love affair will turn out. And that’s part of the fun, right? That mystery?
Well, a new romantic comedy titled “Kiss and Tell” is out to ruin that mystery for its lead character. According to Production Weekly's Twitter feed, that woman will be played by “Confessions of a Shopaholic” star Isla Fisher. Her character is somehow struck with the curse (or will the movie deem it a gift?) of knowing exactly how a relationship will unfold from that first contact.

It's no new news that Anna Kendrick had mostly slipped under the radar in Hollywood for nearly half her adult life. Before she stole all her scenes in both "Twilight" and "New Moon" and garnered an Oscar nomination for her role in "Up in the Air," Anna was the third youngest Tony nominee ever and made a name for her quirky humor in "Rocket Science."
But it's what's going on after her success that is what is interesting. Jason Reitman wrote the role of Natalie specifically for Anna in "Up in the Air" and, though she still auditioned for the role, it really was hers to start with. She admitted in a new interview with Reuters that she's been too caught up in "Up in the Air" and awards season to focus on work, but she is still deservedly receiving some A-list job opportunities.

For nearly a year now, fans and the media have been speculating on whether Anna Kendrick could become the first “Twilight Saga” star to earn an Oscar nomination. Well, unless you’ve been sleeping under a rock, you now know that she earned the Best Supporting recognition on Tuesday, which is huge news to “Twilight” fans.
Now, her costar and fellow Forks High student Michael Welch has reached out to MTV with his reaction — and let’s just say he’s happier than a vegetarian vampire with a freshly-killed deer.
“Human pride!” Michael beamed when we spoke, revealing where Mike Newton's loyalties lie. “Represent!”

There are very few certainties in life, but waking up today it was fairly safe to say that the groundhog would see his shadow condemning us with more winter and that "Avatar" was going to be nominated for Best Picture. James Cameron's blue-centric blockbuster lead the pack for the 82nd Annual Academy Awards with 9 nominations, tied with "The Hurt Locker." And while there were a few disappointments (No "(500) Days of Summer" nominations broke our heart as much as the movie did — but we'll muse more about that later on today!) and surprises this morning (Maggie Gyllenhaal for Best Supporting Actress, for one, and hey, "The Blind Side", how the heck did you get on the Best Pic list? Pretty sneaky...) it was a rather predictable list of nominees.
Besides the impending "Oceans 11" reunion on the red carpet (George Clooney and Matt Damon are up for acting awards, while Brad Pitt's film "Inglourious Basterds" is in the Best Picture race) there are a few Oscar nominations that Hollywood Crush is particularly excited about. It was only a matter of time for one of the "Twilight" stars to break through and capture the attention of the Academy, Anna Kendrick took the initiative and became a Best Supporting Actress nominee for her funny and raw performance in "Up in the Air." We sure would have loved to heard her congratulatory phone calls this morning!

"Up in the Air" star Anna Kendrick may be the only woman on record to have ever uttered the phrase, "I'm over George." As in costar, Oscar winner and two-time Sexiest Man Alive honoree George Clooney.
But you can hardly blame the starlet, seeing as she's quizzed about Gorgeous George by any and every entertainment reporter that can get their hands on her. (We're looking at you, Guiliana Rancic!) When MTV News caught up with Anna on the red carpet at Sunday evening's Golden Globe Awards, the Best Supporting Actress nominee was candid about her feelings towards George, as well as who she was nervous to meet at the night's star- studded ceremony.
"I mean, it's funny, 'cause I think you don't get over celebrities as a collective," Anna explained. "You know, now I'm over George. He's a guy to me. He's just the guy that teases me mercilessly."

Anna Kendrick sure is one lucky lady. The 24-year-old actress has now worked with Robert Pattinson and George Clooney while currently earning raves for her Golden Globe and SAG nominated turn in the dramedy "Up in the Air." Anna stopped by "The Ellen De Generes Show" today to about how Jason Reitman wrote her role specifically for her after seeing her in the movie "Rocket Science," her newfound fame (it's "very, very strange to have photographers yelling at you on red carpets," she told the talk-show host) and how she got two of the world's sexiest men to start a bit of a battle (all in good fun, of course).
While Anna shuttled between the "Twilight" and "Up in the Air" sets, Clooney would kid with her about being part of the "Twilight" saga, telling Ellen, "George gave me such a hard time about shooting "Twilight." Whenever I came back, it was like, 'Oh sorry, this isn't the "Twilight"" set. You're not working with Mr. Handsome.' He called Rob 'Mr. Handsome.'" Anna decided to have a little fun by getting Rob (aka 'Mr. Handsome') to sign his copy of GQ, on which he wrote, "To George, Best of Luck. Hang in there. Love Rob."
