Vanity Fair's 2012 Hollywood issue is here, and there's just one word to sum it up: HOLYOMGLAMOUR. (Okay, so that's not technically a word. But an occasion like this needs a wholly original portmanteau, mmmkay?) The cover features a full dozen of our favorite young leading ladies, who look like they're in attendance at a deco-themed slumber party we'd kill for an invitation to—all 12 of them channeling 1930s boudoir bombshells in Old Hollywood pincurls, deep red lipstick and silk charmeuse gowns.
But the cover isn't just eye candy; it's a veritable buffet of the poised and prolific actresses who we'll be seeing in the movies and on the awards circuit for the next decade or so. We've got...

We may not have a new trailer just yet to sate our "Hunger Games" cravings, but, thankfully, the internet is ripe with plenty of tribute talk this morning to keep our ravenous appetite at bay...for now. Let's peek the Panem stories you'll be talking about today:
1. Hair, glorious hair
InStyle spoke with "Hunger Games" hair department head Linda Flowers, who spilled some by-the-numbers scoop about coiffing the movie's stars and many, many extras. The most interesting stats? Elizabeth Banks (a.k.a. Effie) wore three different wigs: one pink, one green and one lavender. And about that "bizarre" Caesar Flickerman look Stanly Tucci teased to MTV News recently: "It's a dark navy blue wig in a Karl Lagerfeld-style ponytail," Linda told the mag.

Two literary series, two unforgettable heroines, two impossible love triangles...let's just say it's not two too surprising that comparisons have been springing up between "The Hunger Games" and "The Twilight Saga." But if you bring it up around "Hunger Games" star Jennifer Lawrence, she doesn't mince words:
"'Hunger Games' is not 'Twilight,'" she told Vanity Fair. "And while I hear the comparisons, it’s really premature to say that it will be the same phenomenon." (For the record, we agree...)

And since "The Hunger Games" is most certainly NOT "Twilight," and since any parallels between the two are totally overblown, we are sure that Vanity Fair would never, ever be so silly as to pose the casts of both movies for identical group shots, wearing identical clothing, in a setting that's... um...
HEY.
Let's just say that this thing certainly looks a lot like that thing.

If you were looking for shame and a statement of contrition after Scarlett Johansson's little nudie-pic scandal... well, you clearly don't know Scarlett very well. The actress is making a command appearance on the cover of Vanity Fair's December issue without a hint of embarrassment; in fact, her cover photo has her giving us what can only be described as the world's most epic-sexy "bitch, please" look. And inside, a photo shoot by Mario Sorrenti is accompanied by one of ScarJo's trademark, statement-making interviews.
Like we said, there are no apologies here—but Scarlett does have something to say about the steamy images that hit the web after a d-bag hacker stole them from her phone.
"They were sent to my husband,” she said of the photos. "There’s nothing wrong with that. It’s not like I was shooting a porno... although there’s nothing wrong with that either."

Is there anything not to love about Justin Timberlake? The answer to that, would of course, be a resounding, "No!" The guy can sing, dance, act, make us crack up on "SNL," and unlike so many other celebs, opens up to the press without oversharing.
Case in point: His recent interview with Vanity Fair, which hits newsstands nationwide on Tuesday, June 7. The star, who has two comedies opening in theaters this summer, "Bad Teacher" (with ex Cameron Diaz) and "Friends With Benefits" (with real-life pal Mila Kunis), talked candidly on just about everything—from showing his butt on the big screen to his breakups with Jessica Biel and Britney Spears, to his bad-boy behavior with fellow hottie Ryan Gosling on the set of "The All New Mickey Mouse Club"!

Talk about animal magnetism! Robert Pattinson's Vanity Fair photoshoot with Annie Liebovitz was always going to be one good-lookin' series, but we went weak in the knees when we saw that the star had rounded out his cover photo by donning a fedora and getting amorous with an alligator. Or is it cuddling with a crocodile? We can never keep our reptiles straight.
Read an excerpt from Robert Pattinson's Vanity Fair interview.
Ah, yes—whether he's snuggling with a big lizard, taming a lion or just walking a really cute dog, there's just nothing hotter than a guy who can get down with the beasties... which is probably why "hot man with animal" is one of the favored ways to style a sexy male celeb. So today, we've put together a gallery of our favorite man-animal (manimal?) combos from magazine covers past! Don't miss out—we've got Daniel Radcliffe with a white owl; Kellan Lutz with his adorable dog; Sam Rockwell wearing a kitty cat; and Adam Lambert with an, uh, appropriately placed snake. And lots more!

"I wouldn't be surprised if Rob says the reason he took the movie was because of [her]," "Water for Elephants" director Francis Lawrence told Vanity Fair about Robert Pattinson. "He really fell in love."
Fortunately, for all you who might be concerned that some other Hollywood actress is stealing RPattz away from his rumored girlfriend Kristen Stewart, the star he is talking about is Tai, the elephants he spent so much time with while filming. "She was the best actor I ever worked with in my life," Rob said in the magazine interview. "I cried when the elephant was wrapped. I never cried when anyone else was wrapped."
At least the media won't get as up in arms about his relationship with Tai as they do with Kristen. Though he didn't confirm his relationship with his "Twilight Saga" costar, Rob did say that all the media attention is "very traumatic."

Perhaps Robert Pattinson should tackle a remake of the "Crocodile Dundee" film franchise next, because he looks pretty comfortable with slimy reptiles. As you may have guessed, this is your first look at Rob's April Vanity Fair cover, slated to hit newsstands March 3, and it's definitely his most-daring photoshoot yet.
The tiny image (Oh No They Didn't has a larger version you can ogle) is a screenshot from Vanity Fair's homepage and finds the "Twilight" star decked in a white button-down and a black fedora...and a four-foot long alligator. The sultry portrait was done by legendary photographer Annie Leibovitz, and is likely just the first of many photos we'll be drooling over in the coming week. (Stay tuned to Hollywood Crush as more materials from the issue, including Rob's interview, are released!)

It's no secret we here at Hollywood Crush have a wee, well, crush on Robert Pattinson. Really, who could blame us? But if there's one publication that could give us a run for our Robert-loving money it's certainly Vanity Fair. The dreamy "Twilight" star has graced the pages of the magazine numerous times in the past three years—and he's about to do it again.
Multiple sources are reporting that the 24-year-old will be featured on the cover of VF's April issue, which hits newsstands March 3. The shoot was done by legendary photog Annie Leibovitz, and according to Gossip Cop, even features a FOUR-FOOT LONG ALLIGATOR. (There's definitely a vampire-alligator-bite joke in here somewhere.) Though we'll have to wait another week for the issue, Hollywood Life has some behind-the-scenes images to whet your appetite (as if that's really necessary...)

Sadly, we don't have any scoop to report from the "Breaking Dawn" set, but there's plenty going on in the larger "Twilight" universe. From potential film roles to huge bank rolls, our favorite supernatural hotties were making headlines today. Let's sink our teeth into the news:
Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart probably have more dollars than you
File this in the "obvious" folder, but according to Vanity Fair's list of Hollywood's Top 40, the "Twilight" trio bring home major bank. Taylor leads the threesome at the No. 9 spot earning $33.5 million in 2010, Kristen comes in at No. 13 with $28.5 million and Robert places at No. 15 with a nothing-to-frown-at $27.5 million. Though most of their earnings come from the vampire franchise, side projects like "Water for Elephants" and "On the Road" rounded out those large sums. And they're impressive sums considering all three beat out Hollywood vets like Jennifer Aniston, Angelina Jolie and Tom Cruise.
