In case you forgot, it’s Valentine’s Day—that most romantic of days when loved ones should be spoiled with flowers, chocolate and loving gestures. Yet, if your boyfriend is someone who hasn’t been planning for this day for the past few weeks, we highly suggest showing him this valuable advice from Mr. Romance, otherwise known as Channing Tatum.

Channing knows a thing or two about melting girls' hearts—you’ll understand if you’ve seen him in “The Vow” or “Dear John”—so when we caught up with him recently before his hosting stint on "Saturday Night Live," we had to get his V-Day tips for all those guys out there that might need a helping hand.

“Do something that is shocking,” Channing said. “You can go to dinner, if that’s what you want to do or have a picnic or something, but do something you’re both going to remember.”

It was hard to think about anything last night but the haunting, gorgeous debut of Taylor Swift's "Safe & Sound" video...but somewhere in between watching that amazing end-of-the-world lullaby on continuous repeat, MTV did find the time to chat with Taylor herself about the process of penning the song and about the books that started it all. And one of the best questions came straight from a fan on Twitter, who asked: What would Taylor's strategy be if she found herself in the real-life "Hunger Games"?

Turns out, Taylor is just like all the rest of us in that she's already asked herself the same question plenty of times: "I've thought about this, because reading the books, you're so sucked into it that as you go about your life," she said. "You sit there, and you're like, 'Could I climb that tree?' 'Could I make a weapon out of this?' 'If I had to forage for food, what would I do?'"

It's time to enter the Arena with Taylor Swift. The country cutie is here at MTV to premiere the music video for her "Hunger Games" soundtrack song, "Safe and Sound," a soulful, melancholy collaboration with The Civil Wars (co-written with score producer T-Bone Burnett).

But the first look at the clip isn't all we have in store tonight. Following the sneak peek, the songstress will be hanging out with our own Sway Calloway for 30 minutes to answer your burning questions about all things Panem, her upcoming projects and more!

It all catches fire at 7:54 p.m. ET. So grab a hunk of Peeta bread to nibble on, take a seat and click play at the golden hour to be "Safe and Sound" with Taylor Swift.

With only a month to go before "The Hunger Games" hits theaters, now is the time for die-hard fans of the books to start really and truly panicking over what kind of terrible, shocking differences there will be between the literary trilogy we loved and the movie we can't wait to see. I mean, it's Hollywood! They could do anything! And what if they make Peeta a butcher boy, not a baker? Or what if Haymitch isn't as drunk as he's supposed to be? Or what if the infamous tracker jacker scene includes a surprise musical number in which the jackers don't just sting, but also sing, tap-dance and play jazz medleys on tiny dystopian saxophones?!! It'll be anarchy!

...Except actually, we don't have to worry about any of this. Because when Josh Horowitz sat down with director Gary Ross, he made sure to grill him real good about just how close he stayed to the source material when adapting the book for film...and Gary came back with the news that not only did he cling as closely as possible to Suzanne Collins' vision, but he was pretty close—literally—to Suzanne herself.

"She wrote the last draft of the script with me," Gary said. "We collaborated. We were in a room together! We locked ourselves up in a room and literally wrote the last draft of the script together."

Twilight Breaking Dawn Part 1In just a few short hours, Bella and Edward will be yours to have and to hold forever as "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1" hits DVD and Blu-ray. Target stores across the country (500 in all) will be hosting special release parties beginning at 11 p.m., where you'll not only be able to pick up a copy of the hot hit but also see a sneak peek clip of "Breaking Dawn - Part 2." (Yes, we are squeezing our Edward Cullen doll extra tight right now to avoid hyperventilating...)

But we can't let Target have all the fun. Nuh-uh. Which is why we spent the better part of this afternoon watching the disc's nearly 90-minute, six-part making-of documentary. And boy did we learn a lot—we could write a thesis! But we won't. Cause that'd be boring. So instead, we've compiled a list of five interesting facts we gleaned from the special feature. Check 'em out after the jump!

Taylor Swift is making herself right at home in District 12. Or at least that's how it looks after previewing a sneak peek of the country cutie's music video for "Safe and Sound," a collaboration with The Civil Wars that will appear on "The Hunger Games" soundtrack (out March 20).

If you haven't heard, the songstress is stopping by MTV on Monday to debut the full-length clip, as well as sit down with our man Sway Calloway for a 30-minute interview in which she'll talk about the single, her future projects and much more. But in the meantime, feast on this bite, which finds Taylor, clothed in a simple white frock, walking through a barren forest (it's so Panem!), while The Civil Wars play inside a fire-lit cabin.

Ladies, are you still looking for Valentine’s Day weekend plans? May we suggest "The Vow"? It has all the ingredients for the perfect V-Day movie: love, heartbreak, tragedy, oh and Channing Tatum and Scott Speedman.

“The Vow,” which is loosely based on a true story, finds Channing’s character, Leo, struggling to win back his wife, Paige, played by Rachel McAdams, after a tragic accident erases her memory. Now if this doesn’t sound like an ideal date-night flick, I don’t know what does. But there’s even better news! Channing recently told MTV News that this movie is something that your guy can relate to as well.

“It’s told through the guy's perspective,” Channing explained. “You don’t just need some horrible accident to not really know someone in a relationship, you can kind of grow apart and they cannot recognize them, and to see somebody try so hard to get back to that is cool.”

Stock up on the Puffs Plus because Channing Tatum and Rachel McAdams are here to make you weep. Their romantic drama, "The Vow," hits theaters this weekend, right in time for Valentine's Day (hint, hint, boyfriends of the world), and this is one tear-jerking affair, to be sure. Rachel stars as a young woman who suffers a traumatic brain injury in a car accident, and as a result, can no longer recall meeting or falling in love with her husband (Channing). Heavy stuff! But despite the sometimes melancholy material, Channing said it was an enjoyable experience falling in love with Rachel...on screen.

"It was easy. She's lovely, and we had a great time," he said.

Thankfully, it appears the feelings were mutual. "We got along really well," Rachel agreed. "It doesn't always go that way, but it's such a bonus. It doesn't necessarily mean that it won't seem like there's chemistry on the screen. You can not get along on screen, and it's still there somehow."

This one is for those of you who appreciate our weekly Hump Day Hottie feature, as well as those who love an adorable celeb couple. Not so long ago, we anointed "Suits" star Patrick J. Adams as our Hump Day Hottie, which led to two awesome things: First we learned that Patrick's real-life love interest is "Pretty Little Liars" star Troian Bellisario. Second, his "Suits" co-star Gabriel Macht was so overwhelmed by Patrick's honor that he felt the need to tweet a photo about how he was feeling about the whole thing. The chain of events was so fun that when I caught up with the Troian recently, I had to ask for her take.

"It was really funny. When he was the Hump Day Hottie, Gabriel Macht released that Twitpic, "Hump Day Nottie," and that tickled me pink, that was such a great response," she said. "It was definitely a great thing being able to walk around the apartment: 'Hump Day Hottie, could you pass me the coffee?' 'Hump Day Hottie, I left my phone in the other room could you Hump Day Hottie that over to me?' and he was just like, 'I hate you so much, would you stop that?' It was even better in public. That was great."

If you've read Suzanne Collins' excellent "Hunger Games" trilogy, you know that blood-lusting teens aren't the only foes District 12 tributes Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark must face in the titular Games. In this dystopian reality, scientists have busied themselves slicing and dicing genomes to create murderous mutants worthy of your worst nightmares. And they've plopped them smack dab in the middle of the arena.

Among this nasty creature collective is a super species of wasp known as tracker jackers, whose venomous stings cause hallucination and even death. Yet, despite their killer instincts, the insects end up playing an important role in Katniss' survival, all the while posing one of the biggest filming challenges to director Gary Ross.

"That's a vertical sequence, literally staged over 100 vertical feet," Gary said, explaining the difficulties of the sequence. "You have the careers on the ground. You have Katniss on one level in a tree, and you have Rue in another tree up here. You have the tracker jacker nest up here, and the crew is going up and down this tree the entire time, and you have all these axis to cut together into one taut, suspenseful sequence. And you have CG insects. This is not for the faint of heart. I think my shot list was like 110 set-ups or something like that. We're building scaffolding. This was shot practically in trees—none of this was shot on the computer. That was a daunting and challenging sequence that required a lot of attention."
