Come Valentine's Day, we'll find out once and for all whether that old maxim, "All's fair in love and war," is really true when the romance intrigue "This Means War" hits theaters. Starring Reese Witherspoon, Tom Hardy and Chris Pine, the film follows a pair of friends/spies who fall for the same woman, eventually unloading their espionage arsenals to win her affections (and undo the others' efforts).

Days before the film hits theaters, we'll air an exclusive clip and 30-minute sit-down with star Reese Witherspoon during our MTV First: This Means War! And we'll be touching on all the important stuff...like what it's like working with "Water for Elephants" co-star Robert Pattinson. Here's a tiny taste to tide you over:

"I would say [he is] the hardest-working person I've ever worked with, honestly," she said. "[He's] professional, hard-working, so appreciative, more grateful than I've ever seen anyone for where he is in life."

We love our actors when they're dressed to the glamorous nines on the red carpet—but we love 'em even more when they're in character, on screen, and wearing the glorious confections dreamed up by a creative costumer. And this year, Hollywood handed a whole lot of stylish eye candy to gawk at during our favorite films! So, as we continue our Best of 2011 posts, there's just one question to ask: Which feature's fashion was tops this year? And the nominees are...

Ryan Gosling as Jacob in "Crazy, Stupid, Love"
We say "best dressed," but let's be real, we like his character's dapper wardrobe best when he's peeling off pieces of it to expose his Photoshop-worthy abs. (But, again, the suits were quite lovely...)

As far as Robert Pattinson is concerned, we know very well that he's wonderful, talented and charming. And not that we get tired of mentioning it, frequently, but it's nice when other not-as-rabid fans go out of their way to say nice things about our Rob.

Case in point, the cast and crew of "Water For Elephants," which arrives on DVD today. We got our hot little hands on an EXCLUSIVE behind-the-scenes featurette from the weepy, 1920s circus romance in which Rob's co-star and director speak to the heartthrob's serious talent.

Director Francis Lawrence admitted that finding an actor in his early 20s to play Jacob was a tough one.

"It was really tricky because a lot of the guys that are that age still really felt like boys to me," Francis explained. "When I met Rob I really had only known him from 'Twilight,' and I didn't know what to expect."

As you may recall, Hollywood Crush became a celebrity stylist last week when we picked out four fabulous outfits for four talented ladies: Kristen Stewart, Emma Watson, Reese Witherspoon and Emma Stone. All four starlets were in attendance at last night's Movie Awards, so we simply have to recap not only what they wore, but how their outfit choices compare to our expert selections.

1. Kristen Stewart in Balmain vs. Kristen Stewart in Lanvin
KStew tapped her rocker chick side and showed up on the carpet in a red leather Balmain mini adorned with metal studs and pins. As we mentioned in our Style the Star feature, Kristen likes to let her dresses do the talking and keep the rest of her outfit simple; she paired this showstopper dress with simple black heels, a few rings and loose strands. Although we do love the red and gold Lanvin ensemble we chose for Kristen, her ensemble was way cooler than anything we could have concocted. It is, admittedly, still within her mini dress comfort zone, but as we've come to expect from Bella's better half, it's definitely cutting-edge style.

This week, we’ve played dress up with Kristen Stewart and Emma Watson, visualizing our dream outfits for the MTV Movie Awards nominees. And our Style the Star feature continues today with MTV’s Generation Award winner: Reese Witherspoon.

Unlike Kristen and Emma, who are still going through their respective style metamorphoses, newlywed Reese has a firmly established fashion sense. America’s favorite blond favors form-fitting strapless dresses with sweetheart necklines and knee-length hemlines. (Say that three times fast!) Black, white, red and blue are her go-to colors, and she’ll always top off the look with peep-toe Louboutin pumps. Her MVP designers are Giambattista Valli, Zac Posen and Jason Wu, though she will branch out to other brands for high profile events, i.e. her Armani Privé gown at the Oscars. As for jewelry, Reese usually lets her décolletage do the talking: earrings, yes; bracelet, maybe; necklace, no. (See our look for Reese after the jump!)

Every day a multitude of stars wander through the halls of MTV News to talk about their latest projects and goof around with staff members. But sometimes we catch stars elsewhere, and that's why we put together Spotted!, a daily compendium of stars in the wild.

Forget St. Thomas. The new, hot location for celeb spotting this week is Germany. Fresh off "Breaking Dawn" re-shoots, Mr. Robert Bedhead Pattinson made a stop in Berlin earlier today at the Hotel de Rome for a "Water for Elephants" photocall. Or as the German call it, "Wasser fuer die Elefanten"...uh...photocall.

The heartthrob—clad casually in a steel-colored button-down and dark pants—mugged with co-star Christoph Waltz and director Francis Lawrence at the event, which preceded the German premiere later today. (Happening right this very minute, actually, if my time zone calculations are correct!)

Have you ever wondered what becomes of all the amazing (and no doubt, costly) costumes after a movie finishes filming? Because that's ALL we could think about during "Water for Elephants." Seriously. The stunning gowns, the beaded circus wear, the boots worn by Robert Pattinson—what would happen to those things? Were they just going to be thrown in a trash can somewhere (and if so, WHERE IS THAT TRASH CAN)?

Luckily for us, "WFE" costume designer Jacqueline West stepped in before we descended into Dumpster-diving madness and provided some answers. The clothes, at least for "WFE," were not discarded (phew!). In fact, Jacqueline said that Reese and Rob actually kept some of the items.

You probably didn't need an excuse to watch "Water for Elephants" again (you did watch it this weekend right?), but we're going to go ahead and give you one anyway. You see, the movie is full of amazing outfits (Reese Witherspoon wears some of our favorites), but there's so much more to each look than meets the eye. We spoke to costume designer Jacqueline West to get the scoop on the real meaning behind the styles. If you haven't seen the film yet, proceed with caution as there are some SPOILERS ahead. If you have, go ahead and indulge in the descriptions below.

The White Dress: One of Reese's softer looks in the film.
The Meaning: "The first time we see her she's in a white dress. That's when she's still hopeful of becoming this famous, famous circus act and her marriage is still intact with August, even though he's difficult in that scene...she's still very hopeful."

We know you can't wait to see Robert Pattinson romance Reese Witherspoon in "Water for Elephants" this weekend, but have you taken a moment to think about how you're going to deal with all of RPattz's smoldering looks in the film? Seriously, it might just be hotness overload.

Lucky for you, we've been thinking about Rob's styles...a lot (obviously), and we've already got some of our top looks picked out. But which one will his fans love the most? "WFE" costume designer Jacqueline West has an idea.

"Have you seen the poster for the movie where he's standing with Reese—she's in her black evening dress? That outfit on him, I think, looks wonderful," she said. She's referring, of course, to Rob's rugged look (in the poster at right), in which he's wearing a beige shirt, loose trousers and fallen suspenders, while caressing Reese's lower back.
